A youth of 15 charged with the kidnap and rape of a six-year-old boy will have his case committed to the Crown Court.
The defendant, who is also accused of wounding the boy with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, appeared before Oxford magistrates on Wednesday.
No application was made for bail and the case was adjourned until September 19 when it is likely to be committed to the Crown Court. Until then, the youth will be remanded in local authority care.
The incident is said to have happened between on Sunday, August 5, in East Oxford.
