The organisers of the Woodcote Rally have claimed victory in their battle to stage the 38th annual event against a backdrop of disruption caused by foot and mouth.
The usual July fixture at Copyhold Farm, in Goring Heath, had to be cancelled, but the expected 15,000-strong crowd will not be disappointed now that the rally has been re-scheduled for September 1 and 2 at a new venue.
Organiser Geoff Capes said: "We've managed it by arranging to use 100 acres of arable land after the harvest, next to the A4074 at Woodcote."
The fun-packed programme will include displays of vintage cars, motorbikes, steam-rollers and aircraft.
Tickets for each day cost £6. The full programme of entertainment, with more information, is available on-line at www.woodcoterally.co.uk.
