Oxford United boss Mark Wright believes there's little wrong with his team that a win won't put right.
The U's enter the August Bank Holiday weekend knowing that there has been a huge improvement on last season, especially defensively, but they are still looking for that elusive first win.
And ahead of tomorrow's Division 3 game against Shrewsbury Town at The Kassam Stadium and a long trip north to play at Halifax Town's The Shay on Monday, Wright admitted: "My players were heart-broken after losing in extra time to Gillingham and we've got to pick them up for Saturday.
"I'm sure they'll all be looking forward to Shrewsbury. The bottom line is, we need to win that game.
"Once we win a game, and the ball goes in the back of that net, it will give the players the confidence to step forward, because the signs against Swansea and Gillingham are very good."
The U's will be without Dave Savage, who injured ankle ligaments after just seven minutes against the Gills.
Dean Whitehead, who replaced him effectively before suffering badly from cramp, is expected to continue in midfield.
But Wright is probably weighing up whether to bring back 18-year-old Jamie Brooks after resting him on Tuesday, or continue with Northern Ireland international Phil Gray, who can come deeper and holds the ball up well.
Alternatively, he could go for both of them in a 3-4-3 formation, though that would mean losing a midfielder.
