Cricket and beer came together when Eynsham celebrated the launch of a new appeal on Sunday.
The village cricket club staged its annual President's XI fixture and marked the beginning of a £100,000 fund to move to a new ground.
And the village's Queen's Head pub, headquarters for cricketers, laid on a beer festival with an array of 12 ales.
The club, which plays in the Oxfordshire Cricket Association league, plans to have its own ground and new pavilion ready in three years' time at a site in Cassington Road.
Sunday's event was held at the recreation ground. Fundraising secretary Jackie Williams said: "It was fantastic; loads of people came to enjoy themselves."
As well as ales, traditional cider and wines from The Bothy vineyard at Frilford Heath, supporters and visitors enjoyed pub games and a display by Eynsham Morris dancers. Face painting and a bouncy castle were laid on for the children, while on the cricket field the president's team won by 40 runs.
Festival organiser Peter Jones is pictured enjoying his first pint.
