Bowlers Mark Stanway and Paul Jeacock were the saviours for Bicester & North Oxford at Beaconsfield on Saturday - with the bat!
Replying to the home side's 218, Bicester were in dire straits at 83-8 in the Division 1 clash.
Defeat would have increased the visitors' relegation worries, but Stanway and Jeacock were not to be moved. They put on 38 stubborn runs for the ninth wicket and defied all attempts to remove them.
At the close, Bicester were 126-9.
Earlier, Jeacock had again proved the most successful bowler, picking up 4-77 off 26.1 overs.
Left-armer Graham Savin was a model of accuracy, with figures of 18-11-27-1.
