Henley Hawks finished off their training weekend in Ireland with an exciting 36-36 draw against All Ireland League side Garryowen in which the lead changed hands nine times.
The Hawks had the satisfaction of outscoring their hosts in term of tries by six to five, all but one coming from the backs, with Ric Van Zyl in magnificent form.
Angus Moxon and Isi Tuivia scored first-half tries converted by Barry Reeves as the visitors trailed 17-14 at half-time.
Scrum half Dan Smaje stole away from a five-metre scrum to start Hawks' second-half scoring, Reeves's conversion attempt hitting the crossbar.
Bruce Rowland, Van Zyl and Ben Ayres also went over, with Reeves adding one conversion.
Ayres's try followed a superb run from Van Zyl and John Barnes's kick to win the match just drifted wide.
