Wendy Broadway reports on an exhibition of George Walker's pictures at Banbury Museum, until September 30 ...
Watercolourist George Walker, is pictured sketching in Canal Lane, Bodicote, where he lives.
George WalkerHis current exhibition Familiar Places continues until the end of September at Banbury Museum.
As this will be the last exhibition at the museum before it moves to new premises next spring, Mr Walker has used a view of the present building as a centrepiece.
Other pictures show old and new views of the town and village, including canal scenes that may soon disappear under proposed developments.
On the same theme is a painting of Haddon's Farm and neighbouring fields as they were in 1952, before the building of the Cherwell Heights Estate.
The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday 10am-5pm.
