Former rugby star Alan Buzza will be the main attraction at a fundraising tug-of-war competition in Oxford.
The ex-Wasps full-back has been travelling penniless around the British Isles for three months in a bid to raise £15,000 to help disabled and disadvantaged teenagers.
Mr Buzza has been travelling with only seven possessions and no money. He aims to cover as many miles as he can - raising cash for the Journey of a Lifetime Trust.
The trust helps disadvantaged young people learn to be independent by sending them out on their own travelling challenges.
Mr Buzza was dropped from a taxi, naked except for a black bin bag, at the start of his own adventure.
Since then, he has scrounged meals, chauffeured a drunk Hell's Angel around Ireland, and was bought at a slave auction by a millionaire for £700.
On September 2, his journey brings him to Oxford's Port Meadow, where he will MC a tug-of-war, near the Trout pub.
He said: "I've been involved with the trust for 11 years now.
"A friend of mine thought Oxford would be a supportive place for what we're trying to do. It should be a fun day."
For those who prefer something gentler, other entertainment includes a children's tug-of-war, football, refreshments, and a barbecue.
