The Oxford Times Cherwell League - Division 1
Buckingham brought their season to a fitting climax by beating visitors Challow & Childrey by six wickets to take the league championship.
Having been asked to bat first, the young Challow side did well to score 195-8, with Neil Podbery (56) and Julian Penney (54) leading the way as skipper James Gear (4-65) and Rhys Morgan (4-67) held them in check.
Steve Beck (47) and Morgan (45 no) then made sure the Buckingham celebrations could begin by leading them to 199-4.
Now Buckingham hope to be given the go-ahead to join Division 2 West of the Home Counties Premier League following an inspection of the club's facilities.
**Buckingham 30 pts, Challow 12
