Oxford Harlequins put on a scintillating display of flowing rugby to secure a 32-22 victory over South West Division 2 side Abbey at Horspath Road.
However, Quins' day was marred when full back Gareth D Jones suffered a bad knee injury following a late tackle, shortly after opening the scoring with a try.
Quins led 12-10 at half-time with a try by winger Steve Chadbone.
A superb burst of scoring midway through the second half took Quins clear. Flanker Jamie Cope, centre Gareth E Jones and flanker Dan Urriza-Rodriguez all raced in for tries.
Chris Penney added two penalties and a conversion to his first half conversion and Quins were out of reach.
