A valuable dog has been stolen from kennels in Bletchingdon.
The theft happened at Ingleby Kennels between 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Sunday, September 2.
The black and tan German Shepherd is worth about £500 and had been secured in a compound. Garden tools were used to break in. Police want to talk to a person who called at the kennels last Sunday.
Pc Simon Allen said: "The man asked about doing work on trees, but also showed a great interest in the dog, which is a family pet.
"If anybody sees a dog of this description, which has just appeared at somebody's home, we would like to know.
"The rightful owner can readily identify it."
Police also want to know if anybody in Bletchingdon saw a white Maestro van or red lorry and trailer during the weekend.
