Brother and sister William and Katherine Winter are becoming impressive linguists at a young age.
William, 13, passed his GSCE German exam with an A star grade when he was just 12, and now his sister Katherine, 12, has done the same - taking the language exam aged 11.
Both spent six years of their lives in Germany where their father, Keith Winter, worked as an accountant.
Katherine and William
Since returning to England a few years ago, both children kept up their knowledge of the German language through academic study.
Their mother, Susan Winter, said: "Although they were surrounded by German people when we lived there, we think they have both done well. We are very proud of them. Katherine is keen to gain a GCSE in French."
William and Katherine attend Bicester Community College, and the family live at Severn Close, Bicester.
