Oxfordshire Senior League round-up
Ruscote Sports had three players sent off as they crashed to a 5-0 defeat at home to rejuvenated Garsington in the Premier Division, writes NEIL WOODCOCK.
Garsington took full advantage of Ruscote's trio seeing red to produce a five-star display with goals by Mark Simms, Andrew Malsey, Justin Ford, Rocky Whiting and James Froam.
The victory was Garsington's second win of the season following their 3-1 win at home to Marston Saints in midweek, and suggests they could be a force to be reckoned with again following a dismal 2000/01 season.
In Division 1, Kirtlington hammered Brill United 8-0 on Saturday.
Matthew Moore had a field day with four goals, and Neil Lyford, Keith Rigby, Nathan Turner and a Jim Dunn penalty completed the rout.
It ended a miserable week for Brill as they also lost 9-1 at home to Oxford University Press in midweek.
Launton Sports, who drew 2-2 at Oakley United in midweek on their return to the senior league, followed that result up by thumping Risinghurst 4-0.
Mark Nelson and Matthew Major did the damage with two goals apiece.
