Strict Swiss confidentiality laws are preventing information about the condition of injured adventure racer, Carolyn Jones, from being published.
The 33-year-old, of St Lucian's Lane, Wallingford, had to be dragged unconscious through an underwater cave by rescuers after crashing off course during the Discovery Channel Adventure Racing World Championships in Via Mala, eastern Switzerland.
Race organisers are now struggling to get information on her condition since they were told on Thursday that she had been stabilised.
Discovery Channel press officer Kirsty Barr said: "We must presume Carolyn's condition is still critical. Our thoughts are with her and her family."
