Abingdon Tn 1, Chalfont St Peter 2
Abingdon Town are still seeking their first win in Ryman League Division 3 after missing a spate of chances at Culham Road last night.
Ben Border fired Abingdon into a 23rd-minute lead after good work by Jon Gardner.
And Town should have put the game beyond Chalfont's reach before Gary Attrell equalised in the 74th minute.
Even then, Abingdon could have clinched the game in the 83rd minute when they were awarded a penalty after Mark Scanes was brought down.
But Gardner blasted the spot-kick high over the bar, and Town's misery was complete when Attrell grabbed an 89th-minute winner after more sloppy defending.
Abingdon Tn: Torres, Thomas, Burden, Creer, Parkhurst, Field, Morgan (Care), Border, Weekes-Pearson (Scanes), Gardner, Hamilton. Sub not used: Dixon.
Attendance: 85.
