Oxford Utd Res 1 Brighton & H Res 1
Manny Omoyinmi staked his claim for a first-team recall on the strength of one breathtaking run in yesterday's Avon Insurance Combination match at Oxford City's Court Place Farm.
Manny OmoyinmiWith Andy Scott suspended for the trip to Exeter on Saturday, both Omoyinmi and Jamie Brooks had the chance to impress United boss Mark Wright. And while both had quiet games, Omoyinmi set up Chris Hackett's opening goal in the 63rd minute.
After picking the ball up in his own half, Omoyinmi went on a 40-yard run before splitting the two remaining defenders with a precision pass to allow Hackett to slot home.
The goal should have been enough to give Oxford victory, but 90 seconds from time, poor defending let in Shaun Wilkinson for an equaliser.
