JT/FOX Oxford Cheetahs take on Ipswich Witches tonight knowing that victory will make them the 2001 Sky Sports Elite League champions.

Oxford need just three more points to be mathematically certain of taking the title and have three matches left to do it.

But a win tonight must be the aim to take the pressure off the team.

Cheetahs promoter Vanessa Purchase said: "We have been through some highs and lows this season and, with the injuries as they have been, the pressure is really on."

She knows that tonight is not Cheetahs' last chance, but with the Knockout Cup semi-final at home to Ipswich tomorrow, having one trophy in the bag would give the whole team a big boost.

Oxford have one omen in their favour as they feature live on Sky Sports tonight, something that has helped them in the past, according to team manager Colin Meredith.

"We have a good record in front of the TV cameras this season, with three wins and two draws, so you can be sure that we will not want to let ourselves down," he said.

Lukas Dryml and Andrew Appleton have returned to the side and Dryml seemed to be on the way back to form against Poole Pirates last night.

Todd Wiltshire remains doubtful with his shoulder injury.

Meredith said: "Todd is having treatment daily and it is really frustrating for him to be on the sidelines.

"He will be back as soon as possible and we have not ruled him out of tonight's match yet."

Ipswich are still missing Chris Louis, though Coventry star Greg Hancock is a more than adequate replacement.

Ipswich: G Hancock, J Hampel, C Boyce, J Doncaster, S Nicholls, S Clouting.

Oxford: B Andersen, T Wiltshire or rider replacement, L Dryml, S Johnston, L Adams, A Appleton, A Dryml.
