Ben Spiero rescued Wantage with a fabulous free kick into the top corner in the 88th minute.
Wantage had started brightly with Baker and Spiero both going close, but Tuffley always looked dangerous on the break, taking the lead on 25 minutes through captain Chris Nicholas.
The visitors pushed for the equaliser, going close through Jones, Newport and Bedwell, before Spiero pounced to snatch a share of the points.
