Banbury United were today awaiting the outcome of their appeal against the Football Association's decision to postpone Saturday's first qualifying round tie with Wealdstone.
The game was called off after allegations that Ben Milner played for Banbury in their 4-0 win over Ware in a qualifying round tie when he was suspended.
Should they lose the appeal they will be thrown out of the competition, missing out on a potential windfall of £7,500 for beating Wealdstone.
It's believed Milner, who played for Brackley Town last season, picked up a suspension for an accumulation of bookings at the end of the campaign.
Player-boss Kevin Brock and secretary Barry Worsley were at FA headquarters in Lancaster Gate to fight the charge.
