Banbury MP Tony Baldry has promised to support new Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith.
He said: "Iain now has a clear mandate from members. It is the first time the leader of a major political party has been democratically elected on a one member, one vote basis.
"I will work tirelessly with colleagues in Parliament to support Iain and to ensure the Conservative Party wins the next election."
He added: "The good performance of Labour is a media myth. It has made a pig's ear of public policy, is making a hash of economic planning, and is proving to be little help to public services."
