Cheney School in Headington, Oxford, yesterday opened an extension to help pupils experiencing difficulties with mainstream education.
The extension will add to the Learning Support Department, and has been funded by a £100,000 grant from the Government's Social Inclusion initiative.
Alan Lane, head of Cheney School, said: "Those students who would benefit from short periods of intensive support will now be able to have periods of one-to-one or small group tuition to help them improve their learning skills."
