Banbury United are counting the cost of the decision to ban them from this year's FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player.
The FA expelled Banbury for playing Ben Milner in their 4-0 win over Ware in the qualifying round while he was serving a suspension. Neither the club or Milner knew about the suspension but their appeal to the FA was dismissed.
The £1,000 Banbury would have picked up from beating Ware now goes to the Hertfordshire club who play Wealdstone tonight in the re-arranged tie.
Banbury chairman Paul Saunders said: "There is huge disappointment and frustration. Ben is distraught about it.
"As we understand it an anonymous letter was sent to the Ware secretary. But rules are rules and you have to abide by them. This will make us stronger as a club. It's all about how we react. We are now looking forward not back."
