Conservationists are being offered cash by Cherwell District Council.
Groups or individuals involved in tree management, pond restoration, or hedgerow care can apply for grants of up to 50 per cent of project costs. The grants are on a first-come first-served basis and will not be paid retrospectively.
Projects eligible for funding also include the restoration of historic features such as milestones, stone stiles and kissing gates.
Schools and community groups can apply for help with conservation or wildlife projects.
Call Susan Marchand, the council's landscape officer, on 01295 221707 for further information.
