Bicester Town boss Barry Grant has been handed a huge 112-day ban by the Oxfordshire FA after his dismissal against Abingdon United at the beginning of the month.
Three Town players were sent off following a 20-man brawl in a fiery Cherry Red Records Hellenic League Premier Division clash at Northcourt Road which eight-man Bicester eventually lost 8-1.
But as Grant was dismissed for headbutting an opponent, his punishment is far more severe than the other two players who saw red, Chris Johnson and Stuart Fox, who have both received 35-day bans.
The suspension means that Grant will not be able play or manage his side until January 20 2002 when his ban starts on October 1.
Lucy Barrett, the OFA discipline secretary, said: "The ban we imposed is the recommended FA punishment - and it is an automatic punishment which does not go before a commission.
