A former student of Gosford Hill School, Kidlington, has won a scholarship to pay her first year's university tuition fees.
Rachael English, of Churchill, near Chipping Norton, has been awarded the scholarship by Swansea University, where she will study Hispanic Studies and French.
Headteacher Dennis Rowley said: "We are delighted for Rachael to have her achievements recognised.
"Her scholarship award is testimony to the quality of teaching and learning in Oxfordshire's comprehensive schools."
The talented linguist is one of four students from Gosford Hill School who achieved four grade As at A-level this summer.
