Windsor & Eton 0, Thame United
Thame were made to work hard for Ryman Division 1 points by struggling Windsor & Eton.
United welcomed back Nando Perna who returned to the club after a spell with Bedford Town.
Wayne Cort was prominent as United dominated play.
But despite their possession, Thame found Windsor hard to break down with their keeper Trevor Bunting making two comfortable saves from Mark Simms.
The home side were starting to grow in confidence and should have gone ahead in the 36th minute but Mathew Flint shot wide from six yards.
On the stroke of half-time, Rob Smith had a shot cleared off the line which went for a corner with Andy Williams shooting just over from the resulting kick.
Thame kept up the tempo in the second half and were rewarded in the 56th minute when Justin Merritt powerfully headed home Nando Perna's excellent cross.
Windsor were becoming frustrated and picked up three yellow cards in quick succession for fouls.
Skipper Martin Brown almost made it 2-0 on 69 minutes, when he exchanged passes with Mick Swaysland before forcing a good save from Bunting.
Thame should have increased their lead but substitutes Chris Potter and Mick Swaysland wasted good chances.
Thame: Foster, Saulsbury (Fontaine, 78), Avery, Brown, Williams, Merritt, Lee (Potter, 70), Perna, Cort, Smith, Simms (Swaysland, 62).
