AARON Barrett and Liam Shorter hammered in 11 goals between them as Florence Park kicked off theirOxford Mail Boys League Under 16 B league campaign with a 18-0 victory over Steventon.
The pace and control of Barrett came to the fore with six of the best, while Shorter was not far behind with five. Jose (3), Clarke, Wade, Warmington and Akhtar completed the scoreline.
Barton kept up their 100 per cent record with an 8-1 crushing of Wantage.
Boyes (4) and Cuff (3) led the way, with Stevens also bagging a goal. Wise scored Wantage's consolation.
In the Under 16 A league, Easington got their season off to a good start with a 2-1 victory at Northway. Lane scored both for Easington, Lemonius bagging Northway's goal.
Abingdon Youth maintained their great start to the Under 15 A league season with a 6-2 win over Crowmarsh. Moncur and Brown both scored twice, with Clarke and Ores also netting.
Fraser got both Crowmarsh goals.
A superb four-timer from Paul Kerridge helped Florence Park to their first Under 14 B league victory of the season as they beat Milton 4-1 at home. Reid scored Milton's consolation.
Summertown made it three wins out of three with a convincing 5-1 victory at home to Bullingdon. The visitors didn't help their own cause, however, giving the home side two own goals. Sherwood, Griffiths and Zaja were the other scorers, Lovegrove netted for Bullingdon.
There was a thrilling game in the Under 13 B league where Steventon ran out winners by the odd goal in nine against local rivals Didcot.
Tom Hemmings hit a hat-trick for Steventon, with other goals coming from Robert Hudson and Reynolds. Grey (2), Devlin and Farington scored for Didcot.
Quarry hit Croft for ten in the Under 13 A league with hat-tricks for James and Fazaranti. Janes (2), Green and Spiers were Quarry's other scorers.
Didcot Casuals hit form against Kidlington B with an 8-2 victory in the Under 12 C league.
The game saw a superb solo goal from Didcot's Marcus Herbert, with other strikes from Gray (2), Saunders (2), McCabe, Smith and Horsman. Kidlington replied through Johnson and Fairgrieve.
A fine hat-trick from Darren Cuddy helped newly-formed Oxford Irish to a comfortable 8-1 victory over Northway to maintain their 100 per cent start to the Under 11 A league season.
Further strikes from Jamie McMahon, Jack McKenna, Sean Keaney, James Baiden and Kevin Morrissey sealed the win. McKendry scored for Northway.
A goal in the first minute from Matty Harris got Garsington off to a flier in their Under 11 B league game against Chalgrove.
A brace from Lance Heaver, a 25-yard Declan Benjamin free-kick and an Aaron Davies strike gave Garsington a five-goal lead.
Darren Morrison netted a consolation for Chalgrove.
A blistering free-kick from Danny Rae was the pick of the Garden City goals in the 8-1 victory against Wantage Concords in the Under 10 C league.
A hat-trick by Ben Fouracre, two from Jeff Fennell, and one each from Lewis Fraser and Jack Emmins completed the Garden City scoring.
Wantage replied through Lewis Sherman. treble win OXFORD Blackbirds overcame Didcot 5-0 over two matches in the Under 8 Friendly League. They won the first match 3-0, with two goals from Jake Lewis and one from Wayne Langridge.
In the second game, Blackbirds won 2-0, Alex Gabbidon scoring a stunning free-kick and Joshua Solomon netting the second.
Blackbird A team beat Kennington 2-0. After a goalless first match, Myles Taylor scored a brace in the second.
And they completed a treble success with victory in their Under 9 game, also against Kennington. Blackbird won the first game 2-0, thanks to a double strike from Craig Pratley. But Kennington scored a late goal in the second game to secure a 1-0 win.
St. Edmunds had a fine 4-1 victory over Goring. David Marsh and John Richardson both scored twice.

Oxford Blackbirds Under 8s 'B' were pleased to welcome Didcot for today's match. Didcot put on a good display with Blackbirds matching them in all departments. The first game saw some good football played leading up to goals from Jake Lewis (2) and Wayne Langridge. MOM was Kieran Cox, captain, for a sterling performance.
The second game Blackbirds played 3 boys who were only playing their second game ever and had a good performance. The team was held together by man of the match, Jordan Smith. Alex Gabbidon scored a stunning goal from a free kick. The second goal was scored by Joshua Soloman who through determination and pace was rewarded with a goal.
OXFORD BLACKBIRDS 'A' 2 : KENNINGTON 0
1st game: 0-0 : 2nd game: 2-0 : Overall score 2-0
In the first game Oxford Blackbirds had all the pressure but could not score. The nearest they came was when Jordan Simmonds hit the bar. A save in the last few seconds from Blackbirds keeper, David Newbold, to deny Kennington the win and keep a clean sheet.
The second game was also a closely fought game but with Louis Johnson having a good game in midfield and Shawn Flood solid in defence it was left to Myles Taylor to score both goals and seal the win.

The first game saw some good football from both Oxford and Kennington, with Oxford managing to keep out Kennington by good defensive displays by Otman Lamzini and Thomas Way. The 2nd game was very even which looked like it was heading for a draw but a mistake by a Blackbird player at the back led to a goal by Kennington. Overall a very good performance by both reams. MOM: Tom McEneaney

Oxford City Colts attacked right from the start but Benson's defence held firm. City were finally rewarded with a Max Dunmall free kcik giving 1-0 at half time. The second half was much the same as the first with two goals for City from Sam Ponting.

The first game got off to a slow start before both teams began to pass the ball around. After 15 minutes Radley's Tom Larman made a good run and finished well. In the second half slack marking by Radley allowed Joe Francis of St Edmunds to level the score. The second game was generally a scrappy affair which both teams could have won. A lucky goal that went through the keepers legs game Simon Salamon of St Edmunds the winner.

Garden City undefeated after 3 games remain looking a very strong and compact side.

Oxford Blackbirds won this game in the second half with two well taken goals from K Matthews and a solo run from B Morris from his own half. Grove took the lead late in the first half with numerous shots on target only to be saved by the outstanding Blackbirds outstanding keeper. Overall the game was a pleasure to watch with both sides playing some excellent football.

A goal in the first minute from Matty Harris got Garsington off to a flying start. Thereafter Chalgrove defended resolutely and it was not until the second half that Garsington broke through again. A brace from Lance Heaver, another from Aaron Davies and a 25 yard free kick from Declan Benjamin eased Garsington to victory. Darren Morrison scored a consolation goal for Chalgrove.

An end to end game that seemed well matched until Horspath scored after 15 minutes of the first half. Colts tried to equalise in the second half but Horspath goalie ensured none were netted. However, in the last 10 minutes of the game Horspath scored a second goal. Colts replied with their first goal but Horspath ran out the winners at 2-1.

This was a game played in good spirit highlighted by a superb solo goal from Didcot's Marcus Herbert. Didcot continued their pre season winning form extending this to now four matches. Stuart Smith put in an excellent display in midfield and reserve goal keeper Alex Taylor made some excellent great saves when he came on in the second half. Kidlington's attackers always looked lively and deserved their two goals.

A fairly evenly balanced first half saw Berinsfield go ahead with a 15 minute penalty. Donnington came back straight away and the half ended 2-2. Donnington really got hold of the game in the second half and playing down the slope, put four goals past the Berinsfield keeper. Final score 6-2.

A really enjoyable end to end game. Steventon took the lead only to concede 3 goals to Didcot. Steventon hit back with goals either side of halftime only to see Didcot again take the lead. However, in a thrilling finish Tom Hemmings equalised with his hat trick goal and with a few minutes remaining Robert Hudson won the game with his first of the season. Didcot pressed hard but could not equalise.
