A business designed to help anyone who finds they cannot eat certain foods without feeling one degree under is the brainchild of a qualified Kidlington food technologist.
Sharon BlaserMs Sharon Blaser, who herself found she could not eat certain foods without developing headaches and excema, decided to work from home and set up the Tailormade Diet Company (www.tailormadediet.co.uk) to help others in a similar position.
She said: "I want to help people who have been diagnosed with specific food allergies and anyone who wants to experiment with cutting out certain ingredients in their diets."
People she feels she can help include diabetics and those who suffer from such conditions as irritable bowel syndrome and migraines.
She said: "In many ways I am a cooking teacher for people with intolerances. I can show them how they can cook meals even if they have been told to cut out such basic ingredients as milk, eggs or wheat.
"Sometimes people turn a certain shade of white when they learn what they cannot eat. They wonder what they can eat. I can show them and make out recipes for them."
She added: "In many ways it all depends on people's culinary skills. They must make things tailored to their needs."
Ms Blaser spent five years teaching students about food technology before setting up business.
She is qualified to teach the Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. She has written papers on nutrition, the dietary intake of drug addicts, diabetes, and therapeutic nutrition.
