A double strike by Robbie Wyatt gave a much-improved Chippy the points.
The visitors started the better side and took the lead through Rob Tutton, but Town showed the spirit and commitment that has been lacking in recent weeks.
A superb individual goal by Wyatt saw him dribble past three defenders before rounding keeper Williams to score.
Chippy took the lead on 56 minutes with another Wyatt special and he made it 3-1 from a Phil Heath corner which Joe Cockcroft headed home.
A minute later, it was 4-1 when confusion in the visitors' defence saw new signing Mark Dennis cap a fine debut with the final goal.
