Cherry Red Records Hellenic League : Hook Norton 2, Shrivenham 0
Hooky stretched their unbeaten league run to eight games and they saw off fellow newcomers Shrivenham.
The leaders, who have now picked up 22 points out of a possible 24, were far from impressive without ever looking like losing.
They failed to capitalise on their chances until the 34th minute, when Dickie Knight stroked the ball home following a goalmouth scramble.
The second half saw Shrivenham enjoy much of the possession, without threatening a resolute defence where John Evans, Darren Williams and Darren Farley gave nothing away.
The result was settled on 74 minutes when a measured pass from Knight found Neil Donovan well placed in front of the Shrivenham goal from where he coolly slotted the ball home.
