Abingdon Tn 2, Dorking 2
Abingdon Town staged an amazing comeback to snatch a point against Dorking in Ryman League Division 3 at Culham Road last night.
Trailing 2-0 with five minutes left, struggling Abingdon, who are still seeking their first league win, were thrown a lifeline when substitute John Weekes-Pearson pulled a goal back.
Spurred on by this, they stormed forward and centre back Jon Muttock grabbed an equaliser in the last minute.
It capped a tremendous fightback by Abingdon, who had earlier seen new signing Neil Greig, shown the red card for his old club Thame United earlier this season, sent off.
Torpey had opened the scoring in the 11th minute for Dorking and they looked to have the points in the bag when Moses parted the Abingdon defence to make it 2-0 in the 76th minute.
