Arsonists are being blamed for a blaze which ripped through a straw-filled barn in south Oxfordshire on Wednesday.
Detectives found a car alight nearby at the same time and believe the same people are responsible for both fires.
Nearby residents called the fire brigade after they heard small explosions. When firefighters arrived at Lonesome Barn - in a lane between Chalgrove and Berrick Salome - they found that the heat was causing the asbestos roof to explode.
It is believed that the straw, worth thousands of pounds, was waiting to be transported to a nearby pig farm.
The burning Maestro car was found in Rofford Lane, just north of Chalgrove.
Witnesses with any information can call Thame police station on 01844 264920, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
