Police were called to an Oxford industrial estate yesterday after shots were fired at passing cars.
Oxford Mail reporter Roseena Parveen, 28, was leaving the paper's offices on the Osney Mead industrial estate off Botley Road at 5pm when she saw a youth standing with other teenagers on land belonging to the Oxford Instruments company.
As she drove past the youth suddenly fired what appeared to be an air rifle at her.
The pellet did not hit her or her car, but when she stopped further up the road she heard more shots, apparently being fired at other cars.
Miss Parveen, who was left shaken but unhurt in the incident, said: "As I drove past, the boy holding the gun, who couldn't have been more then 12 or 14, looked at me, aimed, then fired.
"It all happened so quickly. I just didn't register what had happened until afterwards. It was potentially very dangerous."
