Headington's Malcolm Bayer produced a superb performance in the Black Forest Marathon, finishing 15th in a strong field.
Bayer ran an impressive 2hrs 58mins 34secs, despite battling against unrelenting rain and a hilly course through the Black Forest at Schwarzwald.
The rest of the Headington contingent battled it out over the half marathon, with Crispen Hetherington finishing strongly 5th overall to claim first in the Vet 40 category in 1.18.20.
Headington's ladies' were not to be left out, Jo Choulerton taking bronze for the second year in a row in 1.40.05.
