Gloucester 28, Oxford University 22

OXFORD University suffered their third successive narrow defeat, despite a stirring second-half comeback on a wet and windy night at Kingsholm last night.

Gloucester's started strongly and powered to a 28-10 lead in a one-sided first half.

The Dark Blues points came from a try by No 8 Fraser Gemmell plus a conversion and penalty by fly half Seb FitzGerald.

All the scoring in the second half came from Oxford, with tries from flanker Luke Sherriff and winger Will Ellerby. FitzGerald landed one conversion.

The students are still seeking their first domestic victory of the campaign.
