OXFORD United boss Mark Wright has confirmed the club will appeal against the sending-off of Wayne Hatswell at Lincoln on Saturday, but has admitted they will not try to get Martin Thomas's red card overturned.
Hatswell and Lincoln striker Lee Thorpe were sent off by referee Scott Mathieson in injury time following a 20-man brawl as United slumped to a 1-0 defeat.
And as tempers flared after the two dismissals, Thomas also saw red when he appeared to head-butt Lincoln keeper Alan Marriott as the duo squared up.
Wright said at the time that he would reserve judgement on both dismissals until he had studied a video of the match and, after scrutinising the tape, believes there is enough evidence for Hatswell to appeal.
