Oxfordshire kicked off their Inter-Counties Championship campaign with an 11-4 win away to Gloucestershire at Charlton Kings.
Former England star Julie Bradbury led the way for Oxon, winning her singles, two doubles with Erica Green and a mixed with Phil Linnard.
Nick Raven and David Boorman won two men's doubles.
It was a fine start for Oxfordshire against their likely rivals for the divisional crown, although the home side did have England ranked players missing.
Oxon 3rd went down 9-6 against Kent at Gillingham. Neil Rowland and Nicola Barratt won their mixed 10-15, 17-16, 15-13 to claim the vital sixth rubber and earn the visitors a point.
