An Oxfordshire business is once again attempting to get permission to build houses to fund its move from narrow village streets.
Parker Merchanting in Brook Street, Kingston Blount, failed in its previous attempt, when South Oxfordshire District Council turned down the application.
However, the company is now seeking permission to develop the site with six semi-detached houses, in order to fund its move to a better site within the district.
The company has heavy articulated lorries using the site which can cause traffic problems and difficulties with neighbours, as Brook Street is so narrow.
Although local residents have supported the move and said that the site would be better used for housing, the council is keen to retain its employment use.
