Ten teenagers from Banbury have created a cartoon series for television - and their work will be showcased on the Oxford Channel next week.
Liz Allcroft, 15, Hassan Azam, 13, Lee Bottom, 14, Ed Bovill, 14, Edmund Jones, 15, Chris Joyner, 16, Stephen Trumble, 15, David Trumble, 15, Andrew Taylor, 16, and David Wilson, 15, were chosen from 50 applicants to work with professional animator Sally England and sound specialist Tom Colvin.
The project, featuring a chef called Foule, was completed at Cherwell District Council's animation station at Banbury Town Hall, in conjunction with SixTV.
Miss England said: "The kids were dedicated in their approach to the project and came up with some fantastic ideas. Some of the teenagers are considering careers in the animation industry."
The series will be shown on the Oxford Channel's 6 At Night arts and entertainment programme on October 30 at 10.30pm with repeats on October 31 at 11.30am, 3pm, and 8.30pm.
