SANDMAN caught Division 1 leaders Saxton Rovers napping with two strikes in the first ten minutes as they thrashed them 7-2, writes MICK DAY.
Simon Brown and Mark Humphreys both lashed in free kicks from the edge of the area, with Chris Watkins making it 3-0.
Although James Hawthorne grabbed one back, goals from Brown and Dave Humphreys saw them take a 5-1 lead at the break. Humphries and Warrick Baldwin completed the scoring, with Lee Kogel scoring Rovers' second.
Neil Thimblebey scored four in East Hendred's 8-0 win over Brewery Tap. Their others came from Chris Slevin (2), Jason Fisher, and Ian Carnell.
Brightwell and Athletico Indaline drew 1-1. Steve Dunham scored for Athletico, with Tim Young equalising for Brightwell.
In Division 2, JPs go level on points with leaders OUP after a 2-0 win over Standlake Garage, with goals from Keith Bevan, and an own goal from Paul Davies.
In Division 3A, newcomers Fitzharris Arms broke their duck with an 8-1 win against The Stocks.
Martin Bond scored four, with other goals from Danny Cannon, Alan Wellman, Lee Laver and Matt Evers (og). Francis Maplethorpe replied.
Meanwhile, second division outfit Buckland had to work hard to beat Wallingford Exiles 4-3 in the first round of the Ridgeway Cup.
Adrian Gould headed Exiles into an early lead, but Alex Morgan levelled. Two goals from Ross MacDonald gave Buckland a 3-1 lead, but John Colquhoun and Neil Maher struck for Exiles before Gary Bradbury netted the winner for Buckland, who play George & Dragon in round two.
A brace from Martin Parsons and goals from Will Peddie and Gary Neville helped Exiles 2000 to a 4-0 win over AFC Kidlington, who meet College Oak in the next round.
Didcot Labour Club will play host to The Bell after winning 5-1 at JET with strikes from Simon Trinder (2), Dave Toogood, Andy Potter and Geraint Apps (og). Simon Lofthouse replied.
Mark Pryde scored four for The General Elliott as they cruised to an easy 9-1 win against nine-man Chilton Casuals. Steve O'Neill (2), Gareth Walker, Darren Goodall and Neal Morris hit the others. John Massingham replied for Casuals. General Elliott travel to Benson Harts in round two.
AFC Crowmarsh face a tough tie against in-form OUP Wanderers after beating Wheatley Park 6-1.
Sabri Veseli gave Crowmarsh an early lead, with Craig Fisher making it 2-0. Veseli netted a second before Ned Kelly replied for Park. But further goals from Craig Fisher, Liam Strudwick and Paul Hooper sealed the win.
