A public meeting has been called over plans to unite two schools in Benson, near Wallingford.
Oxfordshire County Council has proposed closing Benson Infants' School, in Westfield Road, and extending the age range of Benson CofE Primary School, in Oxford Road.
The infants' school has room for 180 pupils, but only has 56 full-time and 10 part-time pupils.
The primary school is almost at capacity, with 148 pupils, but county education strategists say there is scope to expand its Oxford Road site to accommodate infant pupils as well.
School governors have invited all parishioners to debate the issues at the Oxford Road school on Wednesday, November 21, at 7.30pm.
