Oxford Devils face a much-strengthened Cardiff Clippers in tonight's (Saturday) National Trophy group game at Oxford Brookes (7).
The Welsh outfit have struggled so far in the competition, but they have been getting better by the game, and are now looking good for the league campaign, which starts next month.
The Devils, who are on a winning run, go into this penultimate Trophy game at full strength.
Steve Riley, the only addition to last week's team, just needs match practice.
"We are looking now for consistency," said coach Bill Baker, back after knee surgery. "Having Steve back will give us more intensity."
Meanwhile, the Oxford Hoops Braves take on Bristol Bombers in the National League Shield at Magdalen Centre for Sport on Sunday (6).
Bristol are the league's top side with a record of four wins and single defeat, with their player to watch being the ex-England and Solent Stars player Panji Ahmed.
