Mark Wright says he has no intention of giving up on the job he has started at The Kassam Stadium.
Although Oxford United are floundering in 21st position in Division 3, and could go second from bottom of the Football League if they lose at Hartlepool tomorrow, Wright says he is not a quitter.
"I am very confident in management," he insisted. "This team will definitely, definitely get there.
"I will never give up on anything. I will never stop believing in what I believe to be right. I understand the world of football and if people don't do it, you know what's around the corner.
"My belief is that this team will turn the corner, I can guarantee - just as soon as we pop a goal or two in.
"We need a lot of our injured players back because experience counts for a lot.
"But I came in at Oxford United desperate to win and desperate to succeed.
"But I also know we need to go to Hartlepool and get a result."
