Benson Youth Club is struggling to find a new leader.
Although the village's newly refurbished youth hall offers good facilities, including games and computers, the youth club itself is defunct.
It has been leaderless since a professional youth worker, paid by Oxfordshire County Council, left a year ago. She has not been replaced.
Parish council chairman Paul Booker said a recent advert in the parish magazine seeking volunteers had met with a "deafening silence".
He added: "We were advised that volunteers give a much better service, but I think we will now have to recruit a professional youth worker ourselves. We are prepared to pay."
The youth hall, in Oxford Road, continues to be used by other community groups, such as the Guides.
