Three people were badly injured when a car left the M40 carriageway between the Ardley and Wendlebury junctions on Sunday.
The car left the southbound carriageway after hitting the central barrier of the motorway at about 7.45am yesterday.
It careered back across the road and landed in a ditch, trapping the occupants in the wreckage.
One person was freed before firefighters arrived, but two others had to be cut free from the wreckage.
A man suffered head injuries and a woman in the car suffered chest injuries. They were taken to The Horton Hospital, Banbury.
Another women suffered leg injuries and was taken by ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
Police and ambulance workers attended the scene, alongside two fire crews from Bicester and a specialist rescue unit.
