The first family to move into a block of council flats will be handed the keys to their home on Tuesday.
The Lord Mayor of Oxford, Peter Moss, will hand over the keys to a flat at the development of 11 flats at Hundred Acres Close, off Hollow Way, Cowley.
The flats, built by Leadbitter Construction for Oxford City Council, are on the site of the former Morris Motors' sports ground. A further 280 social housing units are planned over the next three years by the city council in its bid to ease the shortage of affordable housing in Oxford.
