Wallingford maintained their 100 per cent record at the top of Berks, Bucks and Oxon League Division 1 with a narrow 19-16 victory at Chesham.
The visitors raced into an early 12-0 lead with tries from Lee Lewis and Henry Venners following a long kick and chase before Chesham's forward dominance saw them edge ahead 13-12 at the break.
The second half was very tight and it took a try from Venners to break the deadlock.
Wallingford hung on under severe pressure and gave away a number of penalties, only one of which was converted.
