An armed robber dressed in Hallowe'en costume left the manager of a petrol station shop needing stitches.
The man, wearing an orange Hallowe'en wig and brandishing a knife and a gun, forced staff at the Sainsbury's convenience store at the Shell service station in Park Street, Thame, to hand over tobacco and phone cards. He then hit the manager with the butt of the gun, causing a head wound which had to be stitched at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
The stockily built robber was aged between 25 and 35 and between 6ft and 6ft 6in. Anyone with information about the raid, which happened at 5.45am yesterday, should call Thame CID on 01844 264919, or Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
