Witney Roadrunner Mike Baillie was 17th in the Snowdonia Marathon on Sunday.
Bailie fought his way from 31st at the halfway mark, and looked very strong over the difficult last few miles into Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon as he finished in 3hrs 2mins54secs.
The race was won by Denis Walmsley, of Bourton Roadrunners, just one week after his victory in the Abingdon Marathon.
Walmsley's winning time of 2.37.35 was more than five minutes ahead of the second-placed runner.
Pippa Mason finished 100th overall, which represented third place in the ladies' race.
