Wolvercote featherweight Lawrence Lewis graduated with honours from his latest outing at Reading University as he recorded his tenth successive stoppage - with victory over Basingstoke rival Jeff Mitchell.
The 20-year-old Oxford boxer had upper hand over his opponent from the bell, forcing him on to the back foot.
Mitchell had no answer to the flurries of hooks, short rights and uppercuts thrown by the promising Wolvercote prospect and tried to resort to spoiling tactics.
Mitchell picked up two cautions before another unanswered barrage from the Oxford man prompted the referee to step in and end his misery a minute into the second round.
Lewis's grandfather, Percy, was once a world flyweight title contender and a former coach of Oxford University BC.
